SADAM HUSSEIN, RWANDA GENOCIDE, SHI'AAS & SUNNIS, IRAQ & US, US & IRAN.

YADAH YADAH.

As much as I'm trying my best to work hard for Debate, I really cannot understand this. I understood the part about Sadam Hussein and Hutus and Tootsies and Shi'aas and Sunnis. But the whole Iraq, US and Iran thingy has gotten me stuck. New terms blossom randomly as if it's Spring. Gilaine's position as my bestfriend is going to be replaced by a dictionary pretty soon. Sigh ):

But I guess I'll have to start sooner or later right? And this year's batch of Sec 1s are going to do great, so we have to work extra hard to catch up. I finally understand why my mother harps on expanding your width of general knowledge. Although I swear worldly affairs would hate me if it were capable of harboring feelings. If only I was like Venetia, who can apparently control who/what she likes. I'd make myself fall deeply and irrevocably in love with worldly issues, damn it.

I can only console myself with the thought that it feels nice, somewhat, to have something to work hard for. Compared to rotting away at home, working hard wins hands down. Nevermind, I'm doing this with Esther, Vk and Bernadette. Jiayou, Sec 1s! (((((:

Debate was extremely enjoyable today, if I may say so myself. I am positive the rest agrees. I appreciate the effort of our seniors (whether Sec3s, 4s or 2s) to bond with the juniors, because I think it's really important. And I'm happy that Debate is such a bonded wing. Speaking of which, we're definitely going to carry it on to the lucky Sec1s of the following year. I am finally going to be a senior, yay.

I love D & D.

No, it's not dinner and dance you dumbass.

It's Dance and Debate :D
